Speak Up! Tell your Members of Congress "No" to unfair Internet sales tax legislation.
On May 6, the U.S. Senate passed an Internet sales tax bill with little deliberation on its impact to consumers like you. Known as the Marketplace Fairness Act (MFA), this bill imposes a new and untested tax system that authorizes states to enforce expensive and burdensome policies on the catalog and online retailers that provide a diverse array of products and services for consumers.
Complying with this new tax system will saddle catalog and online retailers you've come to depend on with compliance burdens, increased audits and new costs. Some of the catalog and online retailers you shop with may have to significantly alter their longstanding business models to comply with this complex new system in a way that could make it far more difficult or more expensive for you to do business with them going forward.
Join your fellow catalog and online shoppers in voicing your concerns to your local congress person about how this legislation will harm the catalog and online businesses you rely on, and ultimately how it will impact you as a consumer. Fill in the information below and click “continue” to get started on the easy three-step process to contact your representative(s).
